1979 Mack Truck with PM 31024HIR Knuckle Boom Crane

I am selling my 1979 Mack truck with a professionally-mounted PM knuckle boom crane. The crane is PM model number 31024HIR with the J2 jib attachment. The crane is equipped with front and rear outriggers, and a folding and telescoping boom. The main boom and jib boom both have telescoping sections. The crane can reach over 60′ with a capacity of 2,120 lbs at the tip.

This crane has had two owners — it was recently used to build a custom home and was previously used for moving and positioning concrete forms. This crane is excellent for lifting and positioning heavy loads safely with precision. See photos for some examples from our project. The crane is in excellent condition given its age, and the Mack truck engine was rebuilt around 2011, has low hours since then, and starts and runs excellently in all weather conditions. I have extensive documentation from the original owner’s manuals and the crane build specification and tests (see photos).

Known issues:

* Steering tires need to be replaced

* Leak in the power steering fluid reservoir

* One trailer tire is flat and needs to be patched

The crane is located in Coal Creek Canyon, Colorado. It is NOT currently DOT certified and is being sold AS-IS. The crane can drive locally but will need to be towed by the buyer to your destination as it is not currently highway ready.
