1912 Ford Model T Speedster

1912 Ford Model T Speedster

Price: 39,900.00 USD

1912 Ford Model T Speedster

Since the earliest of time, the automotive world created enthusiast engineers with a steadfast need to go faster, higher, and further than before. As the “horseless carriage” became more mainstream throughout the world in the early 1900’s, finding ways to produce more horsepower and speed was almost instantaneous! Not unlike today, drivers enjoy the thrill of racing their automobiles at the edge of their capabilities! The Ford Model T platform was clearly one of the most abundant chassis available, and making one go faster simply meant reducing weight and adding some under-hood tweaks for more top speed. Motor clubs would challenge each other in community racing events and hill climbs to be rewarded for both for their speed and driving skill. These minimalist vehicles become known as Speedsters, and they come in all varieties, with the Model T always being a favorite for us!

We are proud to offer this beautifully crafted 1912 Model T Speedster finished in classic White with Burgundy diamond-tufted leather seats and matching wire wheels and accent pinstriping. It comes very well dressed in brass appointments and built to be driven in confidence! Under the hood is a fully rebuilt, June 1927-dated 177ci Inine 4-cylinder engine allowing for the convenience of an electric starter, mated to a rebuilt Ford planetary 2-speed transmission. The steel body and cowl were assembled by Model T Speedster expert Tom Butterworth using Rootlieb curved top fenders, running boards, splash aprons, and Torpedo hood. Behind the two bucket seats rests a Rootlieb Ford-script oval gas tank also painted to match. It rides on brand new, and highly desired, Buffalo wire wheels all fitted with new Firestone tires (5) measuring 30 x 3½” in 2021.

Driving upgrades include 12-volt negative ground generator charging system with modern Texas T Parts distributor (T3161) with individual coil, Texas T water pump, Brassworks flat tube radiator, electric starter, and Holley NH carburetor. Additional features include leather hood strap, beautiful reproduction E&J brass headlamps with halogen bulb conversion, traditional wick side lamps, and taillamps converted to brighter LED bulbs. It has an original E&J brass spotlight that was converted to LED lighting. It is a beautifully crafted Speedster with brass-trimmed steering column, brass gear assembly with 1911 Torpedo-style mounting assembly, monocle windshield, and brass “Fat Man” tilt steering wheel. Additional body elements include bulb horn, solid basket-style rear trunk, restored 1912 Stewart Model 26 gear driven speedometer, beautifully finished wood dash and floorboards, and Ford ammeter installed at the top of the original wooden coil box.

While in the care of its most recent owner, it was treated to a complete comprehensive servicing in 2021 to include radiator flush with new hoses/clamps, new carb gaskets, new engine oil, spark plugs/wires, brand new tires, rebuilding of the Stewart mph gauge by Bill’s Speedometer Ship in Ohio, new muffler and heat wrap, modern lighting conversion, axle seals & grease lubrication, transmission cover door gasket, u-joint mounting bolts, and starter drive cover gasket. It starts with terrific ease and runs smoothly down the road as fast as you desire! Also included in the sale will be spare parts, tools, Buffalo wheel hex nut wrench and rear hub puller, reproduction “instruction handbook”, workshop literature, and parts receipts. Please call with additional questions or to schedule a chance to review it in person. A great addition to any collection!

1915 Ford Model T

1915 Ford Model T

Price: 19,500.00 USD

1915 Ford Model T

This t was restored ( ground up) sometime in the 1990s. I purchased the car from the third owner ( a dealer ) 5 years ago and had it shipped to Michigan where Mark Eyre ( a well known model t restorer)  installed Rocky Mountain brakes and did other minor repairs and tuneup. He also replaced the rear wheels with new wooden spokes as original on the rear rims. We also placed new tires on the rear wheels.

I spent approximatly $2700 on parts 2ith Mark.

Recently the car was worked on here in California ( Atascadero) where some local , well known, expert model t guys did more work . Below is a list of the work done:

1. engine removed, completely dissasembled, cleaned, inspected and repaired as needed. No major rebuilding of the motor was needed.

2. Starter installed which required a newer hogshead , a ring gear installed on the flywheel.

3. Magnetos were rebuilt.

4. 12 volt battery installed and wired the cowel lamps and taillight to run off the battery. Also the battery is charged off the magneto. A brakelight switch installed and wired to tail light.

5. transmission ( planetary repaired and adjusted as needed.

6. Coils were inspected and good.

I spent $2736 on parts at this time.

This t is an excellent example of an original  car with minor modifications done to make it ready for touring. Namely the starter , outside brakes and stop light.

1927 Ford Model T

1927 Ford Model T

Price: 21,500.00 USD

1927 Ford Model T

This 1927 Model T Roadster Pickup was purchased by the seller in 2013 to be his personal freedom vehicle. The owner served in the Navy for 33 years in the submarine service logging almost 16 years submerged. He retired as Chief of the Boat (Master Chief) and decided to express himself with the artwork on this very impressive hot rod. The engine is a 500 CI Cadillac that was pulled and rebuilt by Joe’s Engine Shop in Concord, Ca. It is a high compression engine 10 ½ to 1 with a mild cam and a Street Demon 625cfm carburetor setting on an Edelbrock 2115 intake manifold. The exhaust headers are baffled and the sound is rich but not too loud. The engine is backed by a TH350 feeding into a Ford 9 inch rear end with 3.0 open gears. The body of the car is all Henry Ford steel. The frame has been zeed in the rear with coil spring suspension and ladder bars while the front is sitting on a suicide perch with transverse Posies springs, split wishbones and a dropped axel. The dual master cylinder operates drum brakes on all 4 wheels. The overall theme is military with a matt brown paint highlighted by rich pinstripes and some tasteful artwork reminiscent of that painted on the noses of WWII aircraft. The military style bucket seats are surprisingly comfortable with a very sparse amount of OD green upholstery. The fuel tank is nestled comfortably in a bed surrounded by OD Green upholstery. This car is fun to drive and does come with a pair of goggles for the driver and the passenger as the chopped windshield does not deflect all of the bugs coming your way when driving.

The car is registered as a 1927 Ford in the state of California. It is registered till April of 2025.

Unfortunately, the owner passed away and I am a friend listing the car for his daughter. For that reason, I set the price of this car well below what it would cost to build one like it.

Details of the car:

Engine: 1970 Cadillac Engine 500CI rebuilt in 2015 with less than 1000 miles since the rebuild.

Transmission: TH350, shifts smoothly through all gears

Fuel System: Edelbrock 2115 Intake Manifold, Street Demon (DEM-1901) 625cfm carburetor with electric choke and vacuum secondary, Holly 12-4272 Mighty Mite Electric Fuel pump 3-7psi, Aluminum fuel tank 10+ gallons with manual shut off.

Ignition: MSD ignition system with the box located under the dash

Gauges: Autometer Gauges: Tachometer, Speedometer, Water Temp, Oil Press, Volts

Rear End: Ford 9-inch open differential with 3.0 gears

Suspension: Front transverse Posies spring with split wishbones and dropped axel. Rear suspension is coils and ladder bars. Shocks are on all 4 corners.

Brakes: Drum brakes on all 4 corners of the car, under floor dual master cylinder with proper restrictor valves.

Electrical: New 2024 battery sets under passenger seat with wired trickle charger to maintain. All wiring properly insulated. Master switch to turn on vehicle with push button start.
