This 1931 Ford Model A is a restored vehicle with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. 1939 Ford hydraulic brakes, 36 ford wheels and tires. It comes with a like new dust cover. $500 deposit 24 hours after auction ends balance by bank wire transfer due in 7 days. The Seller will assist with shipping logistics at the Buyer’s expense. If this is sold out of the State of Minnesota, the Seller will keep the license plates.

This car has had engine rebuilt with the pistons cleaned, new rings, honed cylinders, new valves and tappets all new gaskets including head gasket, complete rebuild of carburetor, 6-volt alternator with 30 amp ammeter, new switch, rebuilt distributor, new points and condenser, timing set, NOS chromed vacuum wiper motor with new wiper arm and blade, turn signals added to cowl lights and rear lights, hydraulic brake system completely rebuilt with new shoes and pads, rebuilt wheel cylinders and new master cylinder and brake light switch, new 6-volt battery and master battery shutoff switch. Both door latch springs have been replaced with new. All in all, I have spent over $8,000.00 in parts and labor in the past year. I have receipts.

Vehicle is in great condition. This car has a rumble seat. This is not a roadster. It is a cabriolet convertible with windows that crank up and down. It has been driven 500 miles since the rebuild with no issues.

Ford produced 11,801 1931 Model A 68B Cabriolets, which is one of the lower production numbers for the Model A series. The Cabriolet was a luxury model that combined the features of a closed car with roll-up windows and a convertible top. It was considered less sporty than the Roadster and more expensive, but it offered the comfort of a sedan in bad weather and the fun of a roadster on sunny days.

This mean looking 1929 Ford Roadster follows in the time tested tradition of building Ford hot rods, a process that developed through years of high speed testing on the dry lakes and wide open roads of sunny Southern California. Roadsters such as the one offered here are generally referred to as traditional hot rods for their adherence to period correct components, functional appearance and mechanical simplicity that characterized the cars that were built in the early 1950’s.

This hot rod is constructed atop a 1932 ford frame, with a “deuce’ grill shell, a dropped front axle, and a radically raked Dual vee’d windscreen. This classic Rod features a powerful 460 ci Cobra Jet V-8 engine backed by a 4 speed manual and a robust 9 inch rear which is held in place by an equally rugged 4 link suspension. From every angle it is clear that this Roadster has the right look. Stance and wheel choice define the attitude of any hot rods and this car has wisely been equipped with the period correct wheels with skinny bias ply tires.The fenderless bodywork has a great period correct character and the black paint, well worn interior, and several trails of louvers along the hood and rear deck complete the image of the 1950’s.In addition, this roadster is outfitted with a soft tonneau cover providing a nice touch that harkens back to the early days of dry lakes racing!
