1923 Ford Model T

Vehicle Original VIN : 9832350

INTRODUCTION: 1923 was the first year for Ford’s four door sedan, and it was quite the luxurious upgrade! While an open Touring car cost only $290, this enclosed sedan was over $700 when new. This beautiful example has been nicely restored and features several desirable period accessories. Best of all, it was actually being enjoyed. An elderly couple would take it out each week for a couple mile trip to get their groceries. It’s a charming piece of Americana that’s ready for its next caretaker to enjoy!

EXTERIOR: 1923 was the first year for the 4 door sedan, and it cost more than twice as much as a Touring because of the extensive coachwork involved. The body is wood framed and covered in steel, and it remains remarkably solid. The doors don’t sag- they click shut nicely, and even the lock works. It has ford script on the running boards along with polished step plates. The black paint is exceptionally glossy, do you know why Henry Ford said “you can have any color as long as it’s black?” It’s because he practically invented the assembly line, 2 million fords were built in 2023 and black was the fastest drying color. complemented by excellent fenders, Ford script running boards and step plates. The headlights feature Ford script glass lenses, while discreet turn signals have been added for safety. The windshield opens and there’s a functional cowl vent- about as close as you got to air conditioning in 1923! Even the windows roll up and down properly. A deluxe Moto-Meter dresses up the radiator, while beautiful varnished wood wheels are wrapped in tires with hardly any miles, including a matching spare. The vinyl roof and matching sunshade are also in excellent condition, completing the authentic early Ford appearance.

INTERIOR: Compared to an open Touring car, this was downright luxurious in 1923! The interior has been beautifully redone in gray cloth with light gray pinstriping, including the curved front seat and fully upholstered side panels with storage pockets. The headliner has been replaced and fresh carpeting covers the floor. In back you’ll find deluxe privacy shades and a particularly charming period accessory- rare bud vases. Instead of hanging an air freshener from the mirror, fresh flowers could be placed in the vases to add a pleasant fragrance to the cabin. Ornate nickel window cranks add another upscale touch. The dash reminds you just how simple motoring once was: essentially an ignition switch and amp gauge. Even the original steering wheel remains in great shape.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is Ford’s legendary 2.9-liter inline 4-cylinder producing a whopping 20 horsepower! Funny enough, that’s the same displacement as the V8 in a Ferrari 308- so they’re practically the same engine, right? The mechanicals have been rebuilt and present very nicely. It’s been upgraded from the original individual coil system to a much more user friendly distributor ignition, making it easier to operate and maintain. And, of course, it has the essential Model T accessory- the classic “ooga” horn. Everything appears clean, sorted and ready to go.

UNDERSIDE: It appears to be properly restored and very authentic. It retains the simple mechanical layout that made the Model T famous, including its correct style exhaust system, rear wheel only braking, and Ford’s planetary 2-speed transmission.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.

CONCLUSION: What a nostalgic, wonderful little car! It has a huge cute factor, but more importantly, it’s over 100 years old- a genuine piece of American automotive history. Considering the quality of the restoration and how nicely it presents, it’s also a fantastic value. You can’t buy many 100-year-old pieces of history that are charming, usable, and affordable!

Price: 59,994.00 USD

1931 Ford Model A Rat Rod

Classic Car Addict is excited to present this custom 1931 Ford Model A for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. This Model A has been transformed into an awesome custom rat rod build, powered by a New “The Blower Shop” supercharger on a LM7 5.3L LS-based V8. The term “rat rod” is commonly applied to a style of hot rod or custom vehicle that imitates, exaggerates, or reimagines the early hot rods of the mid-20th century, often with raw finishes, exposed mechanicals, and plenty of attitude. If you are looking for a standout build with serious presence, look no further.

Exterior:

The steel body has been chopped 4 1/2″ and wears a full patina finish, giving this Model A the raw, aggressive character expected from a true rat rod build. It sits on a custom-built frame using custom radius rods, along with a new 4 1/2″ dropped forged front axle, new forged Ford spindles, and new bearings. The stance is low, purposeful, and unmistakably custom. Additional exterior and chassis details include stainless braided front and rear brake lines with new stainless tubing throughout. Custom-built ceramic-coated headers feed into Gibson mufflers, giving this Ford the sound to match its look.

Interior:

The cabin features black leather seats with red stitching. The custom steel door panels are fitted with black leather inserts and chrome handles, giving the interior a clean, industrial hot rod feel. Equipment includes a custom billet steering column, Flaming River reverse Vega steering box, and billet B&M shifter. Instrumentation includes original-style gauges for water temperature and oil pressure, along with three auxiliary gauges for voltage, air/fuel ratio, and fuel level. Located under the driver’s seat is a Wilwood master cylinder and adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes.

Engine:

Power comes from a freshened supercharged LM7 5.3L LS-based V8. The engine is equipped with a new The Blower Shop 6-71 blower, new Holley fuel injection, and two Holley carburetors. Additional upgrades include a new MSD 6014 ignition box, new coils, new plug wires, a high-volume oil pump, new performance cam, and LS7 lifters. This setup gives the Model A modern LS reliability with old-school blown hot rod presence.

Transmission:

The engine is paired with a fresh TH400 automatic transmission built by Hughes Performance, along with an aftermarket bellhousing. A PTC torque converter with a 2600 stall helps transfer the power and gives this custom Ford the right street-driven hot rod feel.

Wheels and Tires:

This Model A has the stance and proportions of a proper custom rat rod, with its chopped steel body, dropped front axle, and custom chassis setup giving it an aggressive profile from every angle.

Brakes:

Stopping power is provided by Wilwood front brakes with four-piston calipers and Wilwood single-piston rear brakes. The braking system also features stainless braided lines, new stainless tubing throughout, a Wilwood master cylinder, and an adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes.

Suspension:

The front suspension features a new 4 1/2″ dropped forged axle with new forged Ford spindles and bearings. Out back, the car is fitted with a custom four-link rear suspension with wishbone. A fresh 9-inch rear axle has been fitted with new 4.11 gears, bearings, and seals.
