1984 Mercedes-Benz Motoroam 35′ Class A Motorhome As-is VERY RARE !
Extremely rare 1984 Mercedes 35′ Class A Motoroam motorhome. We believe only 4 or 5 were made and this is possibly the last one in existence. In 2016 the owner drove from NY to Indianapolis to purchase and drove it home. He then proceeded to mechanically go over the whole thing as the plan was to drive it to Nevada and back in 2017 which he did. He even went as far as replacing the front leaf springs- shipped from Germany. Tie rods etc, new tires. This is an estate vehicle so exact knowledge is limited please understand. The only trouble he had in the 6,000 mile RT was the diesel tank wasn’t cleaned out and he had to keep changing the fuel filters. He took off the side and rear exterior skins and rebuilt the framing and insulation as well as removing the whole roof and rebuilt. He covered the whole roof with 1 full piece of EPDM but failed when sealing the AC roof penetrations. The roof leaks around those penetrations. There is some mold. I have no idea if the fridge/ propane stove/microwave/ water heater/holding tank etc work. I believe the generator worked but it has been sitting for years so it could be DOA. I believe one or both AC units were replaced . He complained of loose steering coming home from IA which makes me believe he also replaced the steering box. Interior is all original- no idea about the gauges working. This however is a ONE OF A KIND MERCEDES ! So you can rebuild and make it you own but you will own something that will turn heads and can be worth whatever you want to make it worth. Worthy to be shipped overseas- built on a MB truck frame it’s solid as a Mercedes. It’s a 6cyl Diesel. Last registered in 2019 so it’s been sitting. 169,xxx miles. Come view it in Carmel NY but be aware it needs the skin removed again and it needs LOTS of work. Must be towed away within 3 days of winning auction so do your due diligence about costs before bidding. No refunds and because this is an estate the family has been thru enough – if you win the bid follow thru and get it removed w/in 3 days. Please! Title in hand but NO KEY. A one of a kind Mercedes-Benz. NO RESERVE !

Looks & runs great.call 401.369.6321 The Winnebago RVs of the late 1960s were boxy, lumbering beasts. Their metal facades were usually festooned with olive green, orange or yellow striping. They were the road-borne equivalent of vintage Kenmore kitchen appliances .
The 2015 Winnebago Brave looks almost as if a vintage motorhome from the seventies was abducted by aliens, spiffed up with all the latest mod-cons and dropped back onto the roads of the American midwest four decades later. With a nod to the original (above), it’s available with a satisfying streak of crimson, yellow, olive green or woodstock brown on the outside, and the tasteful interior will remind you of the cheeriest parts of the 1970s. The iconic flying W is still there, and the front has the eyebrow look of the original. In other words, this is modernization done right (if one can make such a claim about a luxury camper).
The Brave is built on a Ford F53 chassis, with a 362-hp 6.8L 3-valve Triton V10 SEFI engine and 5-speed automatic transmission to haul the 30-ish foot long frame. Inside, you’ll find modern LED lighting, sleeping space for up to six (including a rather cool studio loft), flat screen TV, a fully equipped galley with 3-burner stove, 2-door refrigerator/freezer and microwave, a sophisticated climate control system, and a compact but serviceable bathroom.
All in all, the modern Brave pays homage to the $4,000 original while offering luxurious accommodation that would have been unimaginable back in the early 1970s. It’s not cheap, with prices starting at $96,424, but if you’d like to try life on the road this is definitely a great way to do it in style.

Seller Notes
“GREAT RUNNING MOTOR HOME WITH VERY LOW MILEAGE AND USAGE”
I am selling a very nice 90% original 1975 FMC motor home #850. FMC made 1050 motor homes from 1973 to 1976. I believe there are around 800-900 left. I bought the motor home 4 years ago and have put a lot of time and love into the motor home. The motor home includes all the props shown in the photos except the brown sleeping bag, cargo rack, gas fire pit, and a few items.
When I bought the motor home from Oregon and drove home to Paso Robles. The motor home had a problem with steering play which was common for FMC. I took care of the problem and had a new power steering replaced and front suspension inspected and tightened. The motor is a Dodge 440 industrial motor with 76,064 miles and runs very strong. It’s a gas pusher meaning the motor is in the rear. The motor originally came with Thermo Guad carburetor and was replaced to Edelbrock AV2 800 CFM carburetor. I still have the Thermo Guad carburetor in a box. The original carburetor was fine until I made a mistake by putting too much oil on the K&N air filter that clogged the carburetor. The carburetor needs to be overhauled however the Edelbrock carburetor runs a lot better. I changed the oil and oil filter at 75,600 miles. I had the coach washed, waxed, and rims polished at Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort. on April 6, 2024.
I have gone through the dash wiring and corrected them. Most of the light fixtures are original with new covers and I have replaced some of the modern led lights with stock light fixtures. I like to keep everything stock and correct era period. I upgraded the bathroom and kitchen faucets due to leaks on the original faucets. I tried to repair them and failed to make it stop leaking. Bathroom faucets are the same as the original faucets. I decided to upgrade the kitchen faucets because it’s easier to wash dishes, pots, and pans.
The gas line has been professionally and certified inspected. I replaced a new water heater valve. The original valve failed and due to safety and I was able to find a new valve that works with an older water heater. It works well and does get very hot. The only thing that was not tested is the furnace to heat the motor home. I use an electric heater and it’s much safer.
The sewer and grey tank valves have been replaced to a modern valve which works much better. The original valves gaskets were dry and leaked. The rig comes with all attachments for the sewer drain out including water hose and sewer tank pressure wash.
The roof has been resealed with new vent caps and 2 new roof vent covers. Every vent caps, vent covers, roof rack mount, and ladder mounts have been freshly caulked with self-leveling caulking.
All 6 tires have been replaced at 74,000 miles to a correct size tire. The previous tires were the wrong size tire. The tires used to be a straight tread and I changed to cross treads which handles the driving a lot better.
The generator works and I tuned up the generator with new air filter, oil filter, oil, muffler exhaust pipe, and exhaust pipe hanger.
I added 4 new vintage fog lights sold by Kmart. All exterior lights work except the reverse light. I believe the transmission back up light switch failed. I was going to add a manual switch for back up light and never had the time to do it. I added a back up camera to make back up driving a lot easier and the camera can remain on while driving with the headlight switch on for safety.
I added 4 new 12 volt fans in the front and rear. I installed vintage Samsung flat screen TV. The motor home includes, vintage microwave, vintage coffee maker, and vintage props that you see in the photos for interior and exterior. A motor home cover is included for a long-term storage. There is so much to list.
The motor home is currently registered until October 2024. I have the title and bill of sale on hand. It is a beautiful original motor home with correct period props to own. There is a FMC club to join and they do have rallies and the club is very helpful with questions and answers. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Click on the link or copy and paste the link to view a 27 minutes video of the motor home. The video will show the exterior, interior, photos, and coach on the road.
