The 1998 NEWMAR DUTCH STAR 3858 Diesel Pusher (we called him “Dutchy”) is a Class A motorhome that has been well-maintained with a mileage approximate of 194,500. The odometer was not working when we got it however have used trip meter to keep track of mileage. We are 3rd owners at a little under 2 years and have done additional upgrading and install of new equipment. All regular maintenance and larger repairs performed by licensed diesel mechanic shop. Full life worth of maintenance records and majority of original user manuals.

300hp Cummins diesel engine, runs great and has a lot of life left for its age. Alison 6 speed automatic transmission (serviced and adjusted 8/2025) on a spartan chassis with 4 way hydraulic jacks. Onan Diesel Quiet Generator is in very good condition as well, and it has 2966 hours. 1 slide out in living room tracks and drive were fully pulled apart, cleaned, and relubricated early summer 2025. Very spacious floorplan and walk through bathroom is one of my favorite parts. Full slide out underbelly drawers installed before our time but are also an amazing upgrade. Comes with snap screens for the windshield, driver/passenger and entry door windows. Roof is 3 years old, still good condition but was on our list after this camping year. Tires also good, however using the 5 year rule there is just under 2 years left on them, we do have a full sized spare to come with it. A/C units are about 4 years old, microwave/convection oven about 2.5 years old. Cooling unit on fridge was replaced right before we bought it. Other larger maintenance done:

-Hydraulic system repair right after our purchase as there was a leak from a seal. All seals replaced in the rear at that time.

-Windshield replaced July 2024

-Rebuilt exhaust from air brake to pipe

-Replaced water heater with on demand

-New Converter and solar battery maintainer 2024 after a power leech issue, also replaced batteries and much of the outdated electrical wire at this time. Upgraded interior lighting to lower electrical usage fixtures.

-We pulled satellite system out to replace with starlink but left a lead line for next owner

-Installed new headlights and fog lights that are MUCH better
