Proprietary software such as that which is shilled out by Microsoft, Apple and Google are an assault against your civil liberties. They shouldn’t call that stuff software, it should be referred to as malware, because that’s what it is. If large multi-national corporations don’t want to show you the source code of the programs they expect you to run on your computer, you shouldn’t be expected to put your trust into them.
