GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1930 Ford Model A Station Wagon Woody for your consideration. Finished with a stunning wood exterior over a clean Black interior, this rare Woody Wagon is an exceptional example of one of Ford’s most desirable early utility vehicles. Powering this Model A is the dependable 201 cubic inch L-head inline 4-cylinder engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission and a 3.78 rear gear, providing an authentic driving experience true to its era. One of just 3,510 examples built, this Woody Wagon underwent a full chassis restoration in 2011, while the beautifully crafted wood body was sourced from Pleasantville Body Works of New York. Originally used at a resort in Delaware until after World War II, this Ford also features a professionally installed LeBaron Bonney interior, an upgraded 12-volt electrical system, halogen headlight bulbs, fresh oil change, fresh grease, and all fluids recently checked. Having earned several local car show awards, this Model A is ready to be enjoyed or proudly displayed at your next event. Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don’t hesitate to call us with any questions or for more information.
The Ford Model A was introduced for the 1928 model year as the long-awaited successor to the legendary Model T and remained in production through 1931. Featuring improved styling, increased power, modernized controls, and a more refined driving experience, the Model A helped usher Ford into a new era of automotive production. Among the rarest and most collectible body styles was the Woody Wagon, which featured handcrafted wooden body construction and was commonly used by resorts, estates, and businesses to transport guests and cargo. Today, these beautifully crafted wagons are highly sought after for their rarity, craftsmanship, and timeless vintage appeal.

1931 Ford Model A Rat Rod
Classic Car Addict is excited to present this custom 1931 Ford Model A for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. This Model A has been transformed into an awesome custom rat rod build, powered by a New “The Blower Shop” supercharger on a LM7 5.3L LS-based V8. The term “rat rod” is commonly applied to a style of hot rod or custom vehicle that imitates, exaggerates, or reimagines the early hot rods of the mid-20th century, often with raw finishes, exposed mechanicals, and plenty of attitude. If you are looking for a standout build with serious presence, look no further.
Exterior:
The steel body has been chopped 4 1/2″ and wears a full patina finish, giving this Model A the raw, aggressive character expected from a true rat rod build. It sits on a custom-built frame using custom radius rods, along with a new 4 1/2″ dropped forged front axle, new forged Ford spindles, and new bearings. The stance is low, purposeful, and unmistakably custom. Additional exterior and chassis details include stainless braided front and rear brake lines with new stainless tubing throughout. Custom-built ceramic-coated headers feed into Gibson mufflers, giving this Ford the sound to match its look.
Interior:
The cabin features black leather seats with red stitching. The custom steel door panels are fitted with black leather inserts and chrome handles, giving the interior a clean, industrial hot rod feel. Equipment includes a custom billet steering column, Flaming River reverse Vega steering box, and billet B&M shifter. Instrumentation includes original-style gauges for water temperature and oil pressure, along with three auxiliary gauges for voltage, air/fuel ratio, and fuel level. Located under the driver’s seat is a Wilwood master cylinder and adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes.
Engine:
Power comes from a freshened supercharged LM7 5.3L LS-based V8. The engine is equipped with a new The Blower Shop 6-71 blower, new Holley fuel injection, and two Holley carburetors. Additional upgrades include a new MSD 6014 ignition box, new coils, new plug wires, a high-volume oil pump, new performance cam, and LS7 lifters. This setup gives the Model A modern LS reliability with old-school blown hot rod presence.
Transmission:
The engine is paired with a fresh TH400 automatic transmission built by Hughes Performance, along with an aftermarket bellhousing. A PTC torque converter with a 2600 stall helps transfer the power and gives this custom Ford the right street-driven hot rod feel.
Wheels and Tires:
This Model A has the stance and proportions of a proper custom rat rod, with its chopped steel body, dropped front axle, and custom chassis setup giving it an aggressive profile from every angle.
Brakes:
Stopping power is provided by Wilwood front brakes with four-piston calipers and Wilwood single-piston rear brakes. The braking system also features stainless braided lines, new stainless tubing throughout, a Wilwood master cylinder, and an adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes.
Suspension:
The front suspension features a new 4 1/2″ dropped forged axle with new forged Ford spindles and bearings. Out back, the car is fitted with a custom four-link rear suspension with wishbone. A fresh 9-inch rear axle has been fitted with new 4.11 gears, bearings, and seals.
